This is an important article for the Evergreen community to read. As an Evergreen student it seemed that NO ONE on campus was talking about this story this morning. That makes me sad. The combination of avoiding the bureaucratic safeguards TESC has in place against graft and corruption and favoring family with public monies and non-rigorous accounting methods are damning evidence. That is some great reporting right there.
I don’t understand the PowerPoint inspired use of bullet points in the middle of the article. That content is quality, and it is the meat of the story. Why am I being battered with bullet points in the middle of a story? It seems that these points are really screaming the need for an info-graphic or to be written in a format less like an outline and more like a news article. But I’ll chalk that up to personal opinion.
Interestingly, the auto-magically appearing ad placement with the headline online was comical. You can see some examples screen captures here and here.

Whoa, I hadn’t even heard about this. Big news, I wonder what Rose would have to say about it?
Good question, Piers. I haven’t had the chance to approach her for an opinion. IANAProfessor but, I would hazard that she wouldn’t want to opine publicly on the matter until things are a bit more played out institutionally.
